The Richard Lander School, accompanied by the BBC School News Report, had a unique experience during their recent trip to the Battlefields. Thanks to our partners at the Peace Village, the pupils were able to secure an interview with the PM! The pupils had previously been on our exclusive programme, focusing on the life of John Condon, the youngest soldier to die during the war. Aged just 14, John left Ireland to fight amidst gas attacks in Ypres in 1915. The pupils also got a chance to visit relatives’ graves. The icing on the cake was a once in a life time interview which the pupils will remember for many years. Click on image below for a brief video of the meeting.
