The story of Anne Frank brings home the meaning of the Holocaust at a personal level. The courageous girl survived for 2 years in hidden isolation before her eventual capture and death in 1945, aged just 15 years. Follow the journey from her home in Amsterdam, through the Westerbork transit camp to Bergen-Belsen where she perished along with over 100,000 Dutch Jews.
Day 1, Coach pick up from School to travel to Dover for Eurotunnel to Calais. Continue to Amsterdam.
Day 2, Morning guided visit to Jewish Museum and the Schouwburg. Afternoon visit to the Anne Frank House.
Day 3, Morning drive to Westerbork for guided visit of the transit concentration camp. Afternoon continue to Celle for overnight.
Day 4, Morning guided visit to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Then start return journey to Calais with an overnight stop en route.
Day 5, Continue to Calais for ferry to Dover from where your coach will return you to school.
