This tour examines Britain’s heritage and showcases its revolutionary technology, including the world’s oldest iron bridge, Britain’s first ‘factory-style’ mill and the earliest steam engines.
Day 1, Depart school. Visit to Masson Mills (Arkwright’s working textile mill). Overnight near Telford. Evening meal
Day 2, Visit to Ironbridge (bridge) and Coalbrookdale (Iron factory museum). Visit to Coalport China Museum – Etruria Industrial Museum and Shirley’s Mill (steam engine). Evening meal
Day 3, Visit to the Wedgewood Museum and tour of the ceramic factory. Return to School
