Visits include a trip to the site of Lincoln’s assassination (the now world famous Ford’s Theatre), Arlington Cemetery (formally the estate of the Confederate general’s family), and several of the key Battlefield sites where the hostilities themselves took place!

Flight to Washington DC. Meet your Key Stage Rep on arrival and transfer to your accommodation.
Morning guided tour of Washington DC ending at the Arlington Cemetery – the largest military graveyard in the world. Afternoon visit to Ford’s Theatre Museum – site of the 1865 President Lincoln’s assassination.
Full Day coach excursion to several of the most strategic locations of the Civil War Era. Visit Harper’s Ferry which changed hands between the Confederacy and the Union a total of eight times in four years. Tour Gettysburg Battlefield and see where Lincoln made his famous address before stopping at Antietam site of one the deadliest battles of the hostilities.
Full day coach excursion to include a guided tour of the Museum of the Confederacy & the Petersburg Battlefield sites.
Morning visit to the African American Civil War Museum. Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
