Operation Dynamo – Dunkirk
3 days/2 night from only £183pp
In Spring 1940 over 350,000 troops were miraculously evacuated from the beaches of Dunkirk after being stranded as a result of Hitler’s Blitzkrieg strategy. This poignant but hugely educational tour examines the ‘Operation Dynamo’ campaign, exploring former battleground sites and the memorials that act as a reminder of the many who perished. The area also offers a chance to study the development of German military technology, including the construction of almost impenetrable bunkers, ‘doodlebug’ rockets, and superguns.
