The commercial capital of the Netherlands. You may wish to include a cruise on the famous Amsterdam canal system, which is the result of city planning in the early 17th century. - Delta Project
Commenced after the massive floods of 1953 and designed to keep the sea at bay. You can visit the dykes, dams and gates designed to allow normal traffic of people and wildlife when the sea is quiet, but to close off the land to high tides and storm surges. It is also possible to visit the Nieuw Land Museum, showing the history of this largest ever land reclamation project. - Meijendel Coastal Dunes
You will investigate the 7000 year evolution of the landscape, together with dune management, water extraction and the impact of leisure activities - Rotterdam Port Complex
