Berlin offers groups an excellent selection of museums and galleries, spanning ancient art to the Bauhaus movement.
- Alte Nationalgalarie - One of the largest collections of nineteenth century sculptures and paintings in Germany.
- Bauhaus Archive - Displaying works from all the Bauhaus stages and workshops and covering the period 1919-1933.
- Brohan Museum - Covering 1889-1939 Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Functionalism.
- Brücke Museum - Featuring works by the 'Bridge' group of Expressionists, a group of artists who had a decisive impact on the development of twentieth century art. Works from 1905 onwards.
- Deutsche Guggenheim - Changing exhibitions covering Classical Modernism to the present day.
- Hamburger Bahnhof - Housed in a former railway station, this museum of contemporary art from the second half of the twentieth century includes works by Andy Warhol. In the evening the building is lit up by a light installation designed by Dan Flavin.
- Museum of GDR Art - Demonstrating how art was used in the socialist state.
- Museum of Prints and Drawings - One of the largest collections of graphic art, including works by Botticelli and Picasso.
- Neue Nationalgalarie - A collection of nineteenth and twentieth century paintings and sculptures.
- Sammlung Heinz Berggruen - 70 works of Classical Modernism including Picasso, Klee and Matisse.
