Berlin has many reminders of the Nazi era, and can be combined with a visit to Prague, which will help bring pupils' understanding of the Holocaust into sharp perspective.
- Anne Frank Centre - A workshop session for groups is possible here, or an audio-visual Jewish themed tour in the area.
- Holocaust Memorial and Visitor Centre - The abstract design of the Memorial by Peter Eisenman is an extraordinary sight, and the Visitor Centre provides the personal and biographical details of the victims commemorated here.
- Jewish Museum - The permanent exhibition tells of Jewish culture in Germany and the difficult relationship between Jews and non-Jews.
- Otto Weidt's Workshop for the Blind - Here in the heart of Berlin Otto Weidt sheltered many Jews from deportation.
- Sachsenhausen - The former concentration camp on the outskirts of Berlin. One section, the Small Camp, housed Jewish craftsmen - prisoners required to counterfeit Allied currency and other documents.
- Wannsee Conference House - Where in 1942 the fate of the Jews was decided.
