Information for Group Leaders


We sponsor a discussion group for all those involved in school travel.

If you'd like to join this group, either:

Support

We are here throughout every stage of your tour planning, to offer as much support as you need.

Specifically:

  • Expert advice on your destinations and visits.
  • A single contact at our office to manage your tour.
  • Flexible itineraries to suit you, your group, your syllabus and your budget.
  • Free inspection visits. We will happily provide you with two nights free accommodation in your proposed destination on booking your tour. You will need to arrange return transport.
  • 24hr emergency contact while you are travelling.

Travel Details

Transport

Transport arrangements will be discussed and agreed with you as we plan your tour. These are specified on your individual itinerary. However the following is an overview for your information.

Coach

Our coaches will pick you up from school, accompany you and bring you back to school.

Executive coaches are provided for all tours which include overnight travel. Otherwise, private standard coaches are provided. All our coaches are fitted with seatbelts on all seats. Where private coaches are contracted as part of air tours, we ensure that the coach operator meets local and national safety standards. Seatbelts may not be standard on all seats.

Ferry

Ferry crossings are included in your price.

EuroTunnel

You can opt to cross the Channel using EuroTunnel and we will arrange this for you if required. There is an additional charge for this.

Air

On request, you can opt to travel by air. For groups of less than twenty people, this may be the most cost effective route. All air tours are sold by Key Stage Travel as agents for Flight Bound (ATOL 2876).

Accommodation

Accommodation arrangements will be discussed and agreed with you as we plan your tour. These are specified on your individual itinerary. We generally use 3* hotels for our tours. In some destinations this is not possible, so we select the best quality available accommodation. If you require a budget tour option, we can usually offer youth hostel accommodation.

For younger groups, we offer purpose built holiday village accommodation. We will provide you 2 free nights’ accommodation for an inspection visit if you wish, once we receive your booking.

Meals

We will quote you for bed and breakfast, half board or full board at your request. Meals included will be specified on your itinerary.

For full board options, we can often provide restaurant lunches as an alternative to packed lunches. We can discuss this with you as we plan your itinerary.

For half board options, if you wish, we can discuss possible eateries with you as we plan your tour. Also, we will highlight to you if your itinerary means it may be difficult to buy lunch somewhere. Where this is the case, we can arrange for provision of a packed lunch.
